Where to find Versatta Kilts in the wild? May/June 2025

Hello!

A lot of people ask about where they can go to try on Versatta Kilts. As we're mostly online, we rely on our retail partners to provide those in-person opportunities. At the moment, we have one active retailer on the West Coast, but we're bringing on a company in the northeast, and we're in talks with someone in the Chicago area. We are, of course, always interested in finding other people interested in being Versatta retailers, either in stores or in event booths. Reach out to us at info@versattakilts.com.

For May & June, you can find Versatta Kilts in the wild at the following faires and festivals:

5/24-25: Scottish Fest at the Costa Mesa Fairegrounds (CA)

5/24-6/22 (weekends including Memorial Day): Koroneburg Renaissance Festival (CA)

6/7-6/29 (weekends): Oregon Renaissance Faire (OR)

6/14-6/15: California Celtic Festival (Placentia, CA)

6/28-6/29: San Francisco Pride (Roots of Pride section)

For each of these events, Versatta Kilts and accessories will be available at the Off Kilter Kilts booth. We'll announce our new northeast partners soon. Stay up-to-date with our appearances by visiting our Events page or by following us on Instagram!

Welcome to our new website!

Hello Vanguards! Welcome to the newly re-built home of Versatta Kilts. We're here with the goal of making your every day epic. The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that we've changed the website...just a little. The most noticeable change is that we've moved to Shopify. The Shopify platform is better suited for operations of our size. Through ShopPay and the Shop network we've opened up new convenient ways to find us and to complete your purchase. Shopify also gives us access to a wide range of new technology. We're happy to be able to offer Loop returns and exchanges, simplifying and streamlining the process. We're also offering a new customer appreciation loyalty program, giving you the opportunity to earn discounts on future kilts. One of the ways you'll be able to earn points is by participating in our new reviews program. Adding photos or video will get you even more points, and we might end up featuring you on the site! But the biggest part of the new site is our ability to handle special orders on out-of-stock options. For much of our catalog: if we can make the kilt (we have the colors or tartans in stock at the factory), you can order it. We've got the basics set up now, but we'll add more colors as time goes on. If you've always wanted a hybrid in a length we've never offered it, or have been waiting for a color to come back in stock, chances are you can now order it! For the styles that can't be made on demand, you'll be able to let us know that you're waiting for it to come back in stock utilizing the "Notify Me" button that will be on the product page. This will give us an idea of what to focus our specialty production on and will make sure you know when the kilt you've been waiting for is available.Needless to say, this project has taken a lot of our focus and energy over the last few months, but it's not all we've been working on! Look for announcements soon about some of our other projects, including a couple new kilt designs.  We hope you enjoy the new website.

Hello from the new guy

Hello Kilt Enthusiasts of the World,   My name is J.T. Centonze and as of the new year, I am the new owner of Versatta Kilts. To some of you, my name or face will be familiar, as I have been vending Versatta Kilts up and down the west coast (and in Hawaii) for over a decade now. If you have bought a Versatta or Verillas kilt in person at a renaissance faire or Scottish games in California, Oregon, Washington State, or Hawaii in the last decade, odds are very good you have already met me, and are familiar with my other company, Off Kilter Kilts.   In my capacity as a kilt reseller, I have developed a longstanding relationship with both Verillas and Alice. In fact, I am Versatta's biggest customer and have been for years. I have purchased more Versatta kilts than anyone else on the planet. The quality and integrity of the brand is of utmost importance to me, and I am unwilling to make sacrifices on either point. This is why I purchased Versatta: I specifically wanted to make sure that the brand would retain its reputation.   To augment that reputation, I bring with me my background as a successful small business owner and my expertise as an accountant, not to mention the gravitas that going grey at a very early age has lent me. I intend to streamline the customer experience, and to grow the brand in new and exciting areas. Please do stay tuned in to our various socials (we’ll start posting on Bluesky soon, I swear!) as well as our website, as I will be doing my best to keep you informed about changes as we make them.   I recognize the optics of a company like Versatta moving from the hands of a youthful trans woman to someone who looks like he’s permanently doing a Doc Brown cosplay. I promise, Alice and I are only a couple years apart. Further, as a cishet White man I am aware of the privilege afforded me as I move through the world, and the blind spots I have as a result of said privilege. This is why I intend to keep marginalized voices in close proximity to me, so that this company can continue to serve the communities that have come to rely on it.   Alice will continue to be involved with Versatta, in ways which suit her talents and her interests. I am grateful to her for the work she has done and the brand she created, and to her team in Virginia for all their work making the brand what it is and especially for the work they did in helping with the transfer. Versatta will now be headquartered in Santa Clarita, CA, right next door to one of the largest garment districts in the world, which I hope will enable Versatta to go in some very fun new directions.   I am looking forward to exploring what we can do with Versatta, and I promise not to let go of what already makes the brand so special now. I never imagined when I started selling kilts that I would someday helm a company like Versatta. Welcome to Versatta Kilts

Welcome to Versatta Kilts, a streamlined kilt buying experience brought to you by our parent company Verillas. Right now, Versatta is still under construction in many ways, but we wanted our long standing Verillas fam to be able to follow along as we refine and improve the kilts and customer service experience they’ve come to know and love since our founding in 2013. If you’re new to the kilt wearing and buying experience, welcome! We cannot wait to show you all the exciting new changes that will be happening over the next few months. Why the split and new name? Verillas has spent the past 10+ years providing fashion for the goth, alternative, and LGBTQ+ communities, but as our ambition and warehouse have grown, so has our audience. Now we have customers that are looking for a more focused experience where they can get alerts about sales and new releases that pertain to their specific interests rather than everything offered on the Verillas website. What does this mean for the actual purchasing experience? Not as many changes as you’d think. You’ll still click on the “Kilt” tab on the Verillas website, but before the end of the year you can expect to be redirected to this new website, VersattaKilts.com when purchasing a kilt. Customers will also notice new Versatta branding rolling out slowly, starting with a change to the sew in tags and paper retail tags on all kilts. In short, from packaging to the final product, Versatta will become the new face of all Verillas kilt designs. We are so grateful to all of our long standing customers and supporters for being with us thus far, and we cannot wait to show all the newcomers what we and your future kilts will be made of. Here’s to an amazing new start!
